Welcome to the Wayne County Christian Home Educators site!

Residents of the Wayne County, Ohio, area who are home educating their children out of conservative Christian convictions are invited to apply for membership in WCCHE, Wayne County Christian Home Educators, in Wooster, OH.   WCCHE is a local support group for such homeschoolers and strives to network national, state and local information pertaining to home education.

We also encourage member families in their conviction to impart to their children an education from a conservative Biblical worldview. Benefits include: educational classes/activities, field trips, parent support, a monthly newsletter, home education information and social activities. Our group is made up of families such as yours, who contribute their various gifts and talents toward one another in support.

Our statement of faith is included in the "About Us" section.

If you are considering joining us, please feel free to look around. Access to a members-only section will be provided once you have joined. Currently, this only includes newsletters, but we are hoping to add to that as time goes on. Please contact the webmaster on the contacts page if you are unable to access any of the forms, or if something is not working right.

If you are new to homeschooling and just want advice on how to get started, we have provided some links on the "Useful Links" page to wonderful resources to get you going on the right foot! We will try to keep adding to this list as ideas are submitted to us.

We would appreciate it if you would please limit contact with us to questions specifically regarding the WCCHE co-op, and not present general questions about homeschooling. We don't want to be rude, but we are just busy homeschooling moms, too, and there are many wonderful resources both on the web and in the library to help you with that type of question.

We do encourage you to join our group, where you will have access to our forums and discussions there about getting started and other general homeschool questions, as well as general support for each other--and plenty of questions answered!  We also suggest you talk with Meg in the Children's section of the Wayne County Public Library, Wooster branch, for general homeschooling questions. She tirelessly supports homeschoolers, and has put together a great "getting started" packet for you to take home and access to additional materials to help you as well.
